AC Milan: Rafael Leão passes away in Milan

Rafael Leão, the Portuguese footballer who played for AC Milan and earned his place in the history books as one of the most prolific goalscorers in Serie A history, has passed away at the age of 27.

Leão was born on May 15, 1994, in Portugal and started his career with hometown club F.C. Paços de Ferreira before moving to Benfica in 2012. He made his debut for the Portuguese giants in 2013 and quickly established himself as one of their star players, scoring 108 goals in 166 appearances across all competitions.

In January 2018, Leão joined AC Milan, where he spent three seasons and scored 57 goals in 104 appearances. His time at the San Siro saw him win several titles, including two Serie A championships and the Coppa Italia.

Despite his success on the pitch,Bundesliga Tracking Leão struggled off it. In March 2020, he tested positive for COVID-19 and had to miss out on the remainder of the season due to the pandemic. After recovering from the virus, he returned to the field and continued to score goals for the Rossoneri.

Unfortunately, Leão's life came to an end on November 25, 2020, when he died suddenly at the age of 27. His passing left a void not just in the hearts of his teammates and fans but also in the world of football.

Leão will always be remembered as one of the greatest strikers in the history of Italian football. His talent, work ethic, and dedication to the sport will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, Rafael Leão.
