Brilliant Wing Breakthrough for AC Milan: Brahim Díaz
Brahim Díaz has made history at AC Milan, breaking the club's record for most goals in a single Serie A season with his stunning brace against Bologna on Saturday.
The 22-year-old winger scored twice in a 4-1 win to move two clear of Juventus' Paulo Dybala and three ahead of Lazio's Mauro Icardi as he bids to become the first player since Giuseppe Meazza in 1958 to score 20 or more goals in a single campaign.
Díaz's goal was a clinical finish from close range after just six minutes when he turned provider for Zlatan Ibrahimovic to head home from a corner.
And the Spaniard doubled his tally five minutes later when he took advantage of a poor defensive error by Bologna to slot home from close range.
The result means that Díaz is now only one goal away from matching Meazza's record of 26 goals in a single season.
It was a remarkable display from Díaz who, despite being born in Spain, has been capped by both Italy and Spain.
He is now set to join up with Spain for their upcoming friendly against France on Monday night,Football World Dynamics Station before returning to Italy for the rest of the season.
AC Milan fans will be hoping that Díaz can continue his fine form and help them secure a top-four finish this season.
The young Spaniard has already shown what he can do on the international stage, scoring seven goals in four games for Spain so far this year.
With his impressive performances for AC Milan, it seems likely that Díaz could go on to achieve even greater things in the future.
