Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's Big Move to Marseille

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is set to make the move from Arsenal to Marseille, with the Gabonese striker signing a two-year contract with the Ligue 1 side.

The 32-year-old has been linked with a number of big clubs in recent years, and it seems that Marseille have finally managed to secure his signature.

Aubameyang will join the club on a free transfer after leaving Arsenal at the end of last season, and he will be hoping to continue his impressive form for the French outfit.

He scored 26 goals in all competitions for Arsenal during the 2019/20 season, including six goals in just five Premier League matches, and was also named as the PFA Player of the Year in England.

Marseille manager Lucien Favre has spoken highly of Aubameyang's talent,Chinese Super League Matches describing him as "a very good player" who can score goals and create chances for others.

Favre said: "We are very happy to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. He is a top player and we know what he can do."

Aubameyang's arrival will be a major boost for Marseille, who finished eighth in the league last season and missed out on European football due to financial restrictions.

The Gabonese forward is expected to start alongside compatriot Boubacar Kamara in attack, and the pair could provide a potent attacking partnership for Favre's side.

It remains to be seen whether Aubameyang will be able to replicate his success at Arsenal, but with his experience and skillset, there is every chance that he will be a success at Marseille.
